New TV series "Better Call Saul"

"Breaking Bad" is coming to an end, but the TV series has been so successful that a new series called, "Better Call Saul" is soon to be shown in AMC. Sony had other networks to choose from other than AMC, but since they had a successful partnership they decided to sign another contract with them. The sad news for "Breaking Bad" fans is that it won't have any relationships with the TV series, it will be a story of its own.

This article is important because it shows how the film industry is evolving and how now TV series can come within another TV series. This effects me as a filmmaker because now I can create a TV series and be able to get ideas or a theme to create another, and it can become a prequel. As a consumers I will automatically be interested in watching this TV series since it was shown and introduced in "Breaking Bad", but if I was a consumer who didn't watch that TV series I think I wouldn't be as interested since I wouldn't know the theme of the series.

My question would be if they are going to be filming in same area as "Breaking Bad" or will they get a new location? 

Original Series Successful on Netflix

The new original series on Netflix are making a big impact, even though they don't attract consumers they help to keep them. Most consumers do not join Netflix to watch its original series but they end up watching the shows, the shows help since they don't air anywhere else. This article is important so that producers and directors open up their options to other airing channels. This caught my attention because now people are willing to pay and subscribe to a movie streaming company. This impacts me as a future filmmaker because now you can get more money out of your show.

Animated Films

         Animated films are always good to have in the market because there are always little kids, and little kids are addicted to watching television so of course they love going to the movie theaters, but a good animated film will get the attention of people from different age groups. What film industries have to do is make the movies interesting and different. This year two films have been about racing and over the past years there has been Cars and Cars 2  and they have also been about racing. Of course Turbo only made half of what it's suppose to, the film industry basically changed the characters and twisted the story a little bit also with Planes it's the same thing as Cars. Kids are no longer interested, the racing face is over and people in general are tired of the same concept, get new ideas. As a consumer I did not go watch planes or turbo since I already had an idea of what was going to happen. As a filmmaker this is important because now I know what people are no longer interested in and what they are interested in, such as Despicable me 2, that film was a success because it was funny and it was something new compared to the other animated films. 

China Owes Money To Many American Film Industries

For the past couple of months China and the American film indusrry have been trying to come up with an agreement on paying the American film indusrty.The fact is China owes more than a hundred million dollars to the American   Film industries.  They have been holding all of the money from successful movies such as Skyfall and Man of Steel and many other successful movies.

The reason that China has been holding the money was because their government has increased the sales tax to 2%. The Beijing film industry was arguing with their own government, stating that their profits would lower. Although the resolution is close to an agreement China has caused many other problems over the years such as premier dates and release dates and censorships.
